Job Responsibilities:
• Repair and maintenance of the Internet technology portion of the cable system. Efficiently diagnose and correct data system faults (Broadband and LAN servers, etc.) during standard and non-standard (standby/on call) hours, working closely with the technical support group at the Central Management Facility.

•Interface with customers to provide them with knowledge of existing and new services in a professional manner.
•Perform Digital and High Definition installs and service calls using DTV, HDMI and component video connections.
•Perform HSD cable modem installs and service calls working with Windows XP, 98 and NT operating systems.
•Repair signal leakage and decimation.
•Splice all types of cable as required.
•Understanding of RF design and system prints.
•Responsible for the completion of all daily service installation activity scheduled. Including completion of work orders, sales orders, vehicle reports and other required paperwork.
•Safely operate all company vehicles and applicable equipment. Maintain tools, equipment and vehicle in good, safe working order.
•Perform Standby system service (on-call) as scheduled by the technical services group.
•Positive, assertive attitude towards improving product and system knowledge. Completion of NCTI courses in current technical level.



Experience:

Job Qualifications:
•High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience.
•Minimum two (2) years prior cable technical experience.
•Computer literate with knowledge of Windows software.
•Ability to lift 75 pounds.
•Ability to work non-standard hours.
•Customer relations skills.
•Valid driver’s license, with proven good record.
•Formal electronics training, NCTI, BCT, SCTE or equivalent preferred.
•Must be team oriented, self-motivated and well organized.
